The opportunity?

As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Supervisor to join our Express Parcels division. This role will be managing daily transport operations across a group of drivers. You will work with the team to lift engagement and process improvement through your zone. Strong operational knowledge and people management skills will be essential as the business unit continues to grow.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Ensuring your shift and department has appropriate workforce levels
• Taking appropriate action to ensure the shift contributes to the achievement of operational key performance indicators
• Responding to all queries from internal and external customers in a professional, customer focused, timely and efficient manner
• Making your best endeavors to resolve issues at your leadership level, and when necessary escalate issues to the senior leadership team
• Conducting thorough and effective Tool Box Talks in accordance with procedure
• Ensuring safety is upheld across the network at all times in accordance with Toll’s national safety standards

The ideal candidate?

You will be required to successfully manage staff and drivers on a daily basis but also be forward looking and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational metrics and team dynamics. A background in supply chain is preferred however any relevant experience across large teams in fast paced, front line management environments will be considered.
