CPM is the company behind Sino Iron, already Australia’s largest magnetite operation, located on Western Australia’s Pilbara coast, south of Karratha.

We’re spearheading a new downstream processing industry for the nation, transforming magnetite iron ore into a high-grade, premium export product.

Sino Iron is a fully integrated operation – featuring a mine serviced by the biggest haul trucks in the world, a six-line concentrator and port terminal facilities at nearby Cape Preston. Our state-of-the-art power station and desalination plant are among the largest in the State.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Procurement Officer with sound Commercial acumen to join our Supply team on site at Cape Preston. This position is offered as a twelve month contract, on a 2/1 roster, FIFO from Perth.

The position provides direct purchasing support to the operation in the most cost effective manner. Your daily duties will include obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, expediting orders, managing and resolving invoice queries, providing guidance around the Procure to Pay process and liaising with CITIC Pacific Mining's supplier base as well as various site based departments.

You will have high level purchasing experience within a mining/resources company, along with solid experience of purchasing within the SAP ERP System and various Procure to Pay processes. An understanding of various Supply Chain concepts will be highly regarded as will proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs. Personally you will be a team player who can work collaboratively with other team members in a friendly and open manner. We are looking for a bilingual Purchasing gun, someone who can step up and get the job done while providing guidance to the business around Procure to pay processes as the business continues to grow. Applicants that are fully bilingual (English / Mandarin) with both written and verbal capabilities will be highly regarded.

•  A current Manual WA drivers licence is essential
• A copy of all current qualifications / licences must be provided at the time of interview.
