Our client is a global leader within the packaging industry and are now seeking an experienced National Spare Parts Manager to join their office in Melbourne's North.

This role will report into the General Manager and will be responsible for 8 staff in Melbourne and 3 interstate across Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Interstate travel will also be required on a monthly basis. 

The purpose of the Spare Parts Department is to provide support in the supply and control of spare parts required by our clients customers based within Australia/offshore and internal Service Department/Field Service Techs.

Duties of the role will include, but are not limited too :

• Leading and motivating the Spare Parts Department; managing operations of stores, including staff.
• Forecasting and setting appropriate levels of spare parts inventory nationally.
• Implementing improvement ideas whilst creating a culture of accountability
• Developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Managing supplier relationships and attending to all relevant queries
• Resolving any invoice or pricing discrepancies
• Resolution of all customer issues.
• Conducting investigations and research
• Help to develop ideas and processes to improve the customer experience and department efficiency
• Identify new sales opportunities
• Perform stock takes as required
• Promoting a safe work environment

In order to be successful, you will have:

•  Between 5 -10 years working experience in the Spare Parts industry
•  5+ years Management experience
•  Strong communication and written skills
•  SAP experience advantageous
