About the Company:
Drake International is having store Supervisor role with one of the Australian owned client based in Ingleburn who is a leading supplier of dampcourses, expansion jointing and other allied building materials. Client is known for their excellent record of service to their clients. They are having their existence in most of the states of Australia.
About the Role:
- The role is responsible for managing and assisting in stores. The duties of this role include:
- Picking and packing customer/Interstate orders and routine stock takes
- Responsible for the order picking and the generation of delivery documents
- Supervision of stores personnel and truck drivers when on site
- Ordering and subsequent loading and or supervision of trucks for interstate deliveries
- Receipt and checking of incoming goods and materials
- Maintaining good housekeeping
- Ensure company OH&S procedures are maintained and conduct monthly workplace safety inspections
- Conduct risk assessment when required
- Document and Report all workplace OHS hazards or incidents
- Ensuring that all personnel when entering the warehouse whether they are working or otherwise follow the safe working procedures and abide by the companies OHS rules and regulations
- Other jobs as directed by manager
- Purchasing and re-ordering of stock
- Planning and scheduling of daily deliveries and pick-ups
- Ongoing review of transport costs against budget and endeavour to reduce cost
- Organise layout of stores to maximise space and efficiency in picking/packing
- Member of the OHS committee and attend monthly OHS review meetings
- Efficient utilisation of onsite warehouse staff
Selection Criteria
- Atleast 2 years experience in leading position within wearhouse environment
- High level of interpersonal and problem• Experience in using computer based systems
- Ability to multi task whilst being mindful of set timeframes and results
- Forklift licence and experience
- Excellent Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to clearly communicate and coach other team members
- Availability to work 6:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday
