This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a leading international manufacturer of innovative sustainable building insulation products.

Their new state of the art facility, located in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs, requires the services of a highly motivated Laboratory Technician who is switched on, has strong numerical skills and is happy to push their sleeves up and get the job done.

Reporting to the Technical Process Manager, the main responsibilities for this role are:

 Delivery and storage of raw materials using a Forklift
 Recording, booking in and stocktaking of chemicals
 Testing of raw materials
 Blending of raw materials
 Lab testing and inspection of finished products
 Maintaining documents for raw materials and data input
 Calculating daily production from spreadsheets
 Weekly chemical stock takes
 Working within ISO 9001 standard

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

• Current Forklift Licence and experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient keyboard skills and computer literacy
• Understanding and operation of touch screen panels and technology
• Victorian Drivers Licence with no restrictions
• Valid Australian passport or ability to obtain one quickly [possibility of international travel up to a month for training in the UK]
• Flexible with working hours from 6am to 10pm
• Ability to pass medical and police checks
