Our client is one of Australia's best known retailers, currently showing strong growth and results. We are seeking a Procurement Analyst who will be responsible for the proactive analysis and order placing for a defined range of categories.

You will:  

• Actively manage and assist in the analysis of a defined range of products 
• Forecast and plan for long and short term strategic plans
• Forecast to optimise returns
• Forecast to drive the performance of product categories
• Identify issues in ordering to constantly improve the performance of each category
• Advise on promotional activity
• Identify and suggest ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
• Maintain Purchasing files and keep documentation up-to-date
• Ensure all controls, policies and procedures are followed.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Be degree qualified (any discipline) 
• Possess strong planning and analytical skills
• Have experience in information management, analysis and reporting
• Have a positive outlook and open communication style combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be highly organised with an ability to multi task and possess excellent time management skills
• Have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances at short notice
• Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 6:30am to 3:30pm

Location: South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne
