Role
Are you a seeking to gain further experience in a Laboratory technician role? Looking for a rewarding career in the manufacturing industry?
We’re seeking a self-motivated and confident Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Austral Masonry® office in Yatala, QLD. Reporting to the Quality and Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing of Masonry and Brick products to Australian Standards, including input of test data and maintaining the Laboratory NATA accreditation.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct general product testing for masonry products;
• Update and maintain records of test results;
• Arrange laboratory inspection and testing when required;
• Maintain and monitor laboratory storage and supplies;
• Assist the sales team with technical customer enquiries;
• Assist the research and development department and conduct production trials; and
• Collect masonry and brick samples from the plant for quality assessment and testing.

Success Requirements
• Diploma of Laboratory Technology or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High accuracy and attention to details.
• Excellent administration and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
