Eco-Farms, one of the leading wholesale organic food specialists in Australia is seeking an ambitious and energetic individual to assist the National QA Manager based in Homebush, NSW.
This role is central to our commitment to excellence and high-quality standards for our extensive range of fresh Organic produce and grocery.
Liaising heavily with internal departments, you will play a lead role in the development, implementation, documentation and maintenance of the quality management system to HACCP/ Woolworths SE/Coles HARPS/ SQF ed.8 /Organics /SMETA Pillar 2 standards
Key Accountabilities :
- Ensure that the organisation complies with regulatory and customer requirements
- Maintaining and improving the existing Quality Management System and HACCP plans to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements and customer standards
- Approval and development of SOP’s where required
- Management of allergen control and segregation throughout the processing facility and storage areas
- Development of training programs for quality process / procedures
- Development and maintenance of product specifications and COAs
- Development of quality system for complaints
- Management of external audits and non conformance close out
- Leading the HACCP team, ensuring currency of standards is maintained
- Management of the calibration and environmental testing program
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of the FSANZ Food Standards Code and other relevant regulation and legislation or customer standards, and ensuring internal systems reflect any changes
- Development and update of specifications, Ingredient lists and labelling for all products manufactured
- Supplier management including collation of specifications for all ingredients purchased
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in food technology / science desirable
- More than 5 years' Quality assurance experience in a food, fresh produce or FMCG industry including a management role
- Formal Principle and application of HACCP Certification
- Formal Internal audit training
- Highly developed written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present credibly, concisely and effectively at senior and technical levels
- Ability to engage with all levels of the business, from leadership to operators and customer service Excellent knowledge and understanding of current food legislation and global food safety programs (HACCP, HARPS, Organic, SQF)
- Strong leadership and management skills and demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver organisational outcomes
