Our client is the leader in the manufacturing and supply of cable support systems and has a very busy production and distribution centre based in the Sunnybank. We have a great team of employees on this site and are seeking an experienced warehouse leader who understands the cable support industry. You may have worked in an electrical workshop, or even a sheet metal environment. It must be noted that the team are all vibrant,enthusiastic and get up an go people and therefor you would need this attribute to be considered the perfect fit . This role is ongoing with 38 hours per week and can lead to a permanent position for the right person.


Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Allocation of Orders
• Picking and Packing of customer orders (Please note up to 6 metre lengths of steel)
• Manual unloading of shipping containers
• Operating the LF Forklift (Essential for this role)
• Participate in stocktake
• Restocking products
• Keeping the warehouse clean and safe
• Organising courier pickups/ serving our customers
• Loading of trucks using forklift
• Use of computer freight program to generate labels

Essential Experience

• Must hold valid forklift licenses LF
• Metal industry or machinery parts environment
• Team Lead experience 
• Excellent communication skills working with all levels of staff 
• Experience of working in a team in a distribution/warehousing environment
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Experience of using PCs and scanning technology 
• Maths and English to a high standard
• Physically fit Flexibility with your availability
• Positive can-do attitude
