Our client based in Pendle Hill has an excellent opportunity for experienced Plastics Extrusion Machine Operators / blown film operators to join a small focused production team.
This hands on day shift role requires that you function well, both within a small team environment and also autonomously.
The successful applicants require self-motivation to achieve & maintain production goals, with minimal waste in the most timely & cost effective manner.
Responsibilities for this exciting role include:
- Operate and monitor blown film extrusion machines
- Ensure products are made to specifications
- Product Quality assurance
- Ensure safe work practices are maintained and developed.
- Ensure plant and machinery is operated to stated procedures and standards.
- Input into the continuous development of systems & procedures
- Play an active role in progressing the organisation for the future.
- Ensure plant is maintained at the highest agreed standard.
- Adherence to Company Policies, Procedures, Ethics
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to.
The successful applicant will:
- Have previous experience within the plastics industry
- Have current LF Forklift Licence
- Experience with Blown Film machine highly regarded
- Possess a strong output and "Hands-On" work ethic
- Have good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Have a proven ability to learn & on train to assist with team development.
- Exhibit an ability to identify and contribute to process improvements
- Responsibility & accountability acceptance.
- Participate in relevant training development and skills progression.
- Must have a "can do" attitude with flexibility
- A forklift license is preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to do manual handling as heavy lifting is involved
