Summit Global Logistics is an established Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker , Transport and Warehousing Operator. We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Shanghai & Guangzhou. We are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service Operator to join our forwarding team. This role involves communicating with our clients about their freight requirements.
Duties include:
- Order management - answering all queries in relation to orders in progress;
- Sales support - providing freight & logistical rates and solutions to new customers;
- Key accounts maintenance - client information update and relationship building;
- Rates/tariff update – liaising with external service provider;
- Internal liaison – working with other team members and colleagues in other departments of our company regarding shipment service of the assigned accounts
Skills required:
- Strong customer focus and ability to communicate effectively through oral and written methods with customers.
- Problem solving skills and "Can Do!" attitude
- Forwarding industry experience (1 years minimum)
- EDI Cargowise experience essential
- Efficiency and prioritising skills
- Strong team spirit
