Depot Manager

A locally operated family business, specialising in the Fuel Distribution sector has an opportunity for a depot manager with a transport operations background to join their recognised brand. With an established client base supplying to commercial, transport, retail and mining communities in the Northern Territory, this is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to take their next step and make their mark.
Your ability to think on your feet will see you identify opportunities and implement strategies to improve the level of service to both new and existing customers alike while implementing effective sales processes and systems to improve delivery efficiencies. This frontline position will see you achieve sales budgets and profit targets as well as improve distribution and sales volumes to grow market share.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing customer needs & finding solutions that exceed their expectations,
- Scheduling Fleet movements daily
- Meeting targets, developing weekly call plans & completing contract & OH&S paperwork.
- Assisting depot administration
- Provide operational support for maintenance and company OH & S programs
The successful applicant will have:
- High level of self motivation and drive to succeed,
- Good organisational skills & disciplined work approach,
- High commitment to delivering quality service,
- The ability to communicate and work well with internal support functions.
- Current drivers license & Forklift license
