Distributor of industrial components with a wealth of knowledge and expertise over many years in the industry. Strong processes and staff in place looking for a leader for the Melbourne Distribution site to move forward with them.
About the role
Reporting into the General Manager, your role will involve running pick pack, dispatch, inward good and general warehouse duties in a team of up to 10+ staff in a 10,000sqm state of the art site. Identify new gains and procedures as well as monitor resources to effective use and quality documentation within company systems..
Duties
- Provide leadership & guidance to 10 pick and forklift staffed warehouse
- Effectively manage labour resources and shifts
- Identify and implement productivity gains
- Achieve KPI requirements
- Utilise collaborative methods to achieve results
- Assist & develop staff to improve team member competency
- Ensure all OHS requirements are practised
Skills & experience
- Someone with ideas and not afraid to implement and roll out to team
- Warehouse leadership skills and experience
- Proficient in both manual and ERP/WMS warehouse procedures
- Experience with high SKU count warehouse a must
- Strong Excel and Outlook skills
- KPI and warehouse analysis and achievement
- Handling a site 10,000sqm+
- Hands on Manager
- OHS focus
- Warehouse qualifications viewed favourable
