Fleet Scheduler / Supervisor Required - Dandenong
Dyers are the leading distribution company in eastern Victoria. Established in 1932 we are committed to employing great people to maintain our outstanding service levels.
We currently have an opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable Operations Supervisor to join our team at Dandenong reporting to the Operations (Depot) Manager on a 4x4 roster, the core function of your role is to effectively co-ordinate and manage a fleet of single and bdouble trucks. This is a hands on position that is full time.
Your primary function will include
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
• Excellent computer skills with an ability to use Microsoft office programs and the company's proprietary software.
• Scheduling all vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensuring all loading and delivery windows are met.
• Promoting a safety culture
• Adherence to all legislative and chain of responsibility requirements
• Encourage a great working culture that reports on issues relating to service failure, loss or damages.
• Liaising with the Depot Manager to facilitate continuous improvement
• Daily reporting
• Analysing weekly KPI reports
To be successful for this role, you will have
• Previous supervisory experience in a Transport, Distribution or 3PL environment
• Good computer skills, strong people and relationship building skills
• Effective management and leadership skills
• Sound knowledge of Melbourne Metropolitan and country areas
• The ability to adopt, implement and follow work procedures
• Outstanding problem solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Forklift, HR, HC or MC licences
