About the Role:
The role of Operations Director will be responsible for managing a team in supply chain (sourcing, procurement, planning) and warehouse/logistics, ensuring the company strategic and financial goals are delivered on DIFOT, customer service, business improvements, commercial goals and project management.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Improving DIFOT on all brands
- Manage and motivate the supply chain team to achieve key KPIs
- Implementation of continuous improvement programs
- Ensure NPD, Sourcing and Procurement functions operate to business policy
- Lead and direct the Warehouse leadership team, ensuring KPI’s are achieved
- Australian Packaging Covenant reporting and continuous improvement
- Improving COGS via strategic initiatives, in line with business policy/targets
- Ensure Supply Chain adheres to Australian/NZ Regulatory/Ethical/OH&S Standards
- Provide Weekly & Monthly Reporting to meet business needs
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills & experience:
- Strong demonstrable leadership skills – ability to facilitate change and to drive and inspire others with excellent project management and communication skills
- Exceptional commercial acumen - total supply chain costing/budgetary experience
- Strong Negotiation Skills and supplier engagement
- Proven track record in IBP/S&OP/Warehouse & Inventory management
- ERP/MRP/WMS experience essential
- Advanced Excel and report writing skills
- Attention to detail and proven problem solver
- APICS accreditation advantageous
- Previous experience in a FMCG environment with high number of sku’s launches and promotions is highly desirable
- Pronto/Logility software experience an advantage
To be considered for this opportunity you will be tertiary qualified (degree level in Supply Chain Management or APICS certified) with at least 5 years of experience in a senior supply chain management role. You will be required to respond with examples of each of the key responsibilities, skills and experience listed above
