PURCHASING OFFICER/ PROCESSOR - GREAT PLAINS

The focus of the Purchasing Officer role is to coordinate the procurement/supply process across all portfolios within the business. Ensure the company has available for its customers, the right product at the right price and those products are continuously available to fulfill marketing requirements, while minimizing costs of excessive stock holdings. 
 
 
Technical Experience:

• Intermediate MS Office suite including Word and Excel skills.
• GP Knowledge
• Purchasing experience, preferably gained in a commodity supply business or food service industry, is required.
• Experience dealing with freight forwarders and international purchasing advantageous.
• An understanding of customer import requirements is advantageous.
• Understanding costings
• High level of customer service skills
• Ability to manage and build professional relationships with customers, suppliers, peers and staff
• Time management skills and ability to prioritize to ensure deadlines are met
• Communication/ Negotiation skills.
