An exciting opportunity has become available within the Customs team in our Sydney branch.

Are you a high achieving freight forwarding professional? Do you have experience as a compiler and classifier? Are you ready to take on new challenges and learn from the best? Then we need to hear from you!! 

Key Tasks

Your key function will be to assist the National Customs Team prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs.

  • Classifying and compiling of a variety of commodities within the customs tariff
  • Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders and government bodies

  • Preparing and registering Australian Customs and AQIS entries

  • Job registrations

  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times

  • Troubleshooting any queries with clients and internal departments

  • Ensuring consignments are cleared in an efficient and timely manner

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of Australian Customs Tariffs is essential

  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of moving goods into and out of Australia

  • EdiEnterprise/CW1 experience will be very advantageous, but not essential

  • Process Details

    (process information, find solutions, document facts, evaluate information objectively)

    (continuously improve processes, apply common sense, provide insight)
