Assume responsibility for the day to day operations of a specialized distribution centre servicing a niched retailer focusing on providing an exceptional customer experience

About the role

• Managing and continually improving the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, as well as the operational, policies and procedures.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse
• Achieves the agreed KPI's by controlling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders

Skills and experience

• Focus on pick rate, pick accuracy, inventory accuracy
• Must have worked with, and knowledge of the HARMONY Distribution System
• A hands-on leadership style and natural willingness to get involved in the daily operation
• Strong verbal and written skills
