INBOUND MANAGER – Be the continuous improvement champion!
As the Inbound Manager, you are a key player in Princess Polly reaching its goals while you develop an impressive career. Reporting to the General Manager of Distribution, you will be responsible for managing the inbound logistics for a women’s fast fashion online pure play retailer.  You will be expected to support and work with several teams of 30 plus staff to resolve issues and improving the existing processes to achieve inbound operations excellence.
 
YOU WILL:
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of business operations and senior management decisions and strategies
  • Apply directly your supply chain education and grow your logistics management skills
  • Be part of a passionate distribution centre management team with one of the fastest-growing online women retailers in Australia that dares to charter new ground with the most challenging and fast paced fashion environments.
 
THE MISSION:
  1. In the first 3 months, review current processes and systems for efficiency.
    1. Meet with team managers, leaders and staff to understand their role
    2. Develop relationships, communicate that your role is to make their job easier. Note their concerns and questions. Follow up with answers in a timely manner
    3. Meet with GM of Distribution to understand system and WMS capabilities 
  1. In 6 months, identify at least 3 improvement and process efficiencies and recommend to management. Goal is to achieve 20% improvement in time processing.
    1. Detail steps required on Google Sheets, who is impacted and what investment is required
    2. Develop communication around changes working with buying and orders department
  2. In one year, develop and implement new processes, procedures and new systems identified completing 50% of improvements.
 
EXPERIENCE
  • 4 - 5 plus years management experience within a logistics environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply chain logistics including either a BA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Diploma of Logistics, or Cert3 in Warehouse Operations highly desirable
  • Confident with a strong work ethic and able to take initiative, handle multiple tasks at once and delegate tasks to team leaders as needed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with intermediate excel Excel/Word or Google Sheets. Preferred applied skills in either; 5S, LEAN, Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma or Kanban
  • Experience handling issues and inquiries that reach the escalation point
