The opportunity?
As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy, an opportunity has become available for a Depot Manager to provide operational leadership of the Webb Dock depot of a key Toll business unit. The primary accountabilities and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing daily warehouse and yard operations both inbound and outbound
- Ensuring all freight movements are achieved with strict deadlines
- Increasing and maintaining the profitability of the Business Unit by controlling day to day operating costs and maximising revenue through development of improved efficiencies
- Ensuring all instances of service failure, loss or damage to goods are investigated, and developing and instigating remedial action to prevent recurrence
- Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture
The ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing site operations within a fast paced multimodal depot. You will be required to successfully manage staff on a daily basis but also look forward and implement sustained structure and process initiatives to continually improve. This role will see you actively involved in the day to day operation of the site and work with the management team to increase business efficiencies whilst maintain a strong focus on safely.
