Recognised for the provision of safe, efficient and reliable transportation of bulk petroleum products and as a company who treats their employees like family, our client is a highly respected bulk fuel transport specialist who have been operating throughout southern Queensland and northern New South Wales for 20 years. They take pride in their professionalism and are uncompromising on safety, updating their fleet every three to four years.

YOUR NEW ROLE

In this integral hands-on front line leadership position of Operations and Logistics Coordinator, you will be reporting to the Managing Director, where your high level of communication, organisation and professionalism skills will see you responsible for the day to day operations of the business. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fleet Management, scheduling loads, trucks and coordinating drivers
  • Vehicle, plant and site inventory and maintenance
  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the business,
  • Liaising with customers
  • Managing orders
  • Monitoring invoices and supplier agreements
  • Handling Workplace Health and Safety compliance functions.

ABOUT YOU

As a customer focused and computer savvy manager you enjoy leading by example and will bring to this role your experience in a senior operations/logistics position as well as your proven track record of developing and managing a successful team. Your enthusiasm, work ethic and great people skills along with your desire to get the job done, makes you the ideal candidate for this highly sought after position.

You will bring to this position your exceptional interpersonal communication and ability to build rapport quickly with others in a professional, accurate and timely manner. You will also possess:

  • A high level of experience in customer service and scheduling
  • The ability analyse and interpret legislation, policies and procedures
  • Sound computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Can-do' attitude and ability to thinks outside the square
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Certificate IV in Logistics or related degree qualification (advantageous)
  • Current driver's licence
  • MC license and Dangerous Goods Licence (desirable)
  • Broad knowledge of the transport industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety / Occupational Health and Safety
