PGG Wrightson Seeds have an opportunity for a Despatch Coordinator to join our Operations team based at our new site in Truganina, Melbourne. Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the inward and outward movement of our products to ensure customer needs are meet in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
PGG Wrightson Seeds is a market leading proprietary seed company operating across each state of Australia. Our activities cover all aspects of the seed market, from R&D through to product supply and technical on-farm support.
The Despatch Coordinator role plays a pivotal part in our drive to deliver an exceptional and consistently reliable level of service to our customers. With responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day transportation requirements of the site, this position promises to bring the challenge of juggling multiple tasks and requests.
You'll have a range of duties including:
- Managing the loading and despatch of customer orders
- Prioritising, scheduling and following-up truck deliveries to site
- Overseeing the operation of our distribution function to ensure quality and timeliness
- Customer Service ensuring our internal and external relationships are maintained to a high standard
The ideal candidate will be the following:
- A skilled coordinator who is adept at managing their time
- Car and Forklift licence essential
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and comfortable in a fast paced environment
- A true knack for detail, great communication skills and a flexible approach to your work
- Happy to take a hands-on approach to your work
- Computer literate and not afraid of learning new systems
- Experience in warehousing and transport environment
