A temporary Senior Sourcing Specialist is required for a large technology based project to lead all supplier and services procurement.
Client Details
A QLD Government department has an exciting new project starting in the coming months.
There will be a project team put together working on an innovative Technology project.
Description
- Prepare and develop compliant clear and concise procurement documentation for complex activities
- Provide expert strategic procurement advice in line with Procurement policy and guidelines for complex procurement activities
- Identify and track to resolution key risks related to procurement activities for the Program facilitating appropriate input from other stakeholder including legal, technical and commercial specialists. Implement appropriate measures to identify risks on an on-going basis
- Ensure effective confidentiality practices are in place. Engage with and assist multi-discipline evaluation/negotiation teams in complex negotiations, consulting and engaging with legal, financial and other parties as required
- Establish effective relationships and communications with relevant stakeholder’s and manage their expectations and concerns.
- Lead, manage and deliver procurement requirements as the Program enters its operational phases by coordinating with relevant stakeholders
Profile
- Over 5 years experience within a Senior Sourcing Specialist Role
- Proven experience within documentation procedures and following policy
- Proven experience dealing with stakeholders from multiple and various areas of a business and their expectations
- Proven experience providing strategic advise to stake holders
- Knowledge within legal and financial sectors
- Knowledge of Queensland and Departmental policies and standards
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring procurement team members and parties involved in procurement processes
- Demonstrate a capability in engaging with and managing procurement related stakeholders, including legal, financial and central procurement groups
