About the business
Specialised Bagging Solutions is a company that is contracted to bag 20kg bags of Concrete/quickset/GP for Building product Supplies Pty Ltd (Independent Cement) which they then supply to Bunnings and other independent Hardware stores throughout NSW. SBS obtained the contract to BPS 2 years ago and have a staff of 12 people. SBS answers to BPS and operate on their premises using their equipment.
Specialised Bagging Solutions role is to fill and pallet the products, with the help of machinery to get the job done.
About the role
SPECIALISED BAGGING SOLUTIONS is looking for an experienced and exceptional Production Supervisor on a full time basis to join our team at Kembla Grange, reporting to the Managing Director.
The role has never been filled by anyone externally before and we are looking for someone that considers them self to be a keen/fast learner, able to pick up tasks with ease. You will be trained by other Production supervisors, initially just learning the basics.
Role and Responsibility
- Flexible working hours eg. Night/overnight shifts and weekends when required
- Coordinate, plan and execute Production to meet given target
- Manage 2-6 people at a time
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintains inventory by conducting regular physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
- Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with office personnel keeping operating activities in line with strategic business goals
- Provide thorough and accurate reports on the activities performed within the business
- Ensure workplace materials and documentation are maintained in line with legal obligations and best practice standards
- Regularly review and implement changes to various forms of documentation
- Manage all third party communication and technology queries and networking
- Must be capable of handling an extremely dusty environment and always wear a dust mask when in the bagging area.

Skills and experience
- 3 years of experience in similar role
- A can-do attitude
- Safety Management experience within a warehouse environment
- People Management experience
- Able to work Nightshift and weekends
- Forklift licence and experience
- Working at heights trained
- Mechanically minded
- First aid certificate
- Able to work under pressure
- Proven knowledge of Warehouse Policies and Procedures

- Front end loader experience
