Coral Removals Pty Ltd t/a Allied Pickfords Cairns , is a franchised business that is part of Allied Pickfords Australia who are a the leading global provider of removals and relocation solutions, with branches in 43 locations across Australia and operates in more than 40 countries around the world.

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced sales and business focused Branch Manager to lead the Cairns branch.

The Position:
Reporting to the Branch Owner of the franchised business, who has over 30 years experience in the Allied Pickfords business, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, be responsible for sales conversions and growth, manage administration processes, supplier management  and oversee  operational control of the Cairns branch activities in order to achieve budget revenue/profit and cash flow targets.

This role will have a shared sales and management administration accountabilities. To effectively and profitably manage the household / commercial removals and storage within the profit and cash targets required.

 Additional responsibilities will include;

  • Overall management of the Cairns team, ensuring staff are provided with the necessary training and guidance to ensure achievement of individual and branch objectives
  • Ensure all OH&S regulations are strictly adhered too
  • To generate maximum revenue by selling the portfolio of company services, benefits and qualities to clients, ensuring all avenues and opportunities are actively sought for conversion.
  • The achievement of budgeted trading profits & debtor control
  • Deal with major customer queries
  • Assist in the resolution of daily operational problems where necessary
  • Attract, develop & maintain a customer base in order to achieve revenue & profit targets

Further responsibilities for this position include the planning and achievement of revenue, profit and cash control targets, whilst effectively managing all property, assets, human resources and systems resources under your control.  Effective interaction with staff, clients, suppliers and the wider community are all essential aspects of this role.

This position is one that would suit a highly organised, determined and sales driven individual with the ability to work with a small team and autonomously when required.

As the successful candidate you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in a similar sales/management leadership role
  • Thorough understanding and proven application of sales techniques
  • An ability to maximize sales revenue potential and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Industry leading Consultative Selling Skills with strong closing ability
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and follow up skills
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently or in a team as required
  • Computer literate

Skills:
To ensure success in this varied role, the ideal candidate will have superior sales selling ability, experience managing staff, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), sound understanding of OH&S legislation, is a self-motivated team player, who leads by example. Previous experience within a similar role and knowledge of the Removals or Transport and Logistics industry would be extremely well regarded.
