Our client is an Australian owned company who manufacturers and distributes custom goods. They distribute their products to private customers and also contractors. They are looking for a experienced Dispatch Supervisor who have their MR license to join their growing team.
Description
As an integral member of the Supply Chain and Logistics team, you will report to the Branch Manager and be responsible for monitoring the flow of goods and materials while ensuring safe OH&S procedures. Supporting the Branch Manager and ensuring supervisory functions are completed, specifically, you will:
- Ensure finished products are sorted, dispatched and delivered on time
- Directing production - updating status of delivery with customers, ensuring correct documentation is provided
- Scheduling and directing delivery routes with maximum efficiency
- Manage sub contracted drivers and operating their shifts
- Ensuring warehouse processes are monitored - receiving, JIT procedures and ensuring safety equipment is used correctly
- Maintaining strong relationships with current and future customers/suppliers
Profile
You will be a highly motivated and driven Supply Chain and Logistic professional with previous experience as Warehouse Supervisor/ Team Leader. Additionally, you will possess:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader
- Proven experience supervising a team
- Must hold a MR License and have experience driving
- Strong understanding of dispatch process within a warehouse
- Strong understanding of scheduling deliveries and routes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
