Aussie Disposals is now looking for a Purchasing Officer – Imports to join the team working at their Head Office in Dandenong South.
This position works closely with the buyers and involves

Placing orders and liaising with overseas suppliers to ensure the production and delivery process is on schedule

Arranging with freight forwarders and handling import documents to ensure the smooth delivery from the overseas supplier into our warehouse.

Creating Letters of Credit with the bank and following up payment.

Preparing a costing sheet and receipting the products into the inventory system.

Creating reports for the buyers

Monitoring stock levels

Placing orders with local suppliers

Receipting stock and processing orders
The suitable applicant would be able to communicate well, have excellent organizational and time management skills, have strong computer and Microsoft Office skills and have an outgoing personality.
Previous experience in a purchasing role would be useful but not essential.
