Fibreglass Transport Equipment Group based in Dandenong South is the leading manufacturer and service/ repairer of refrigerated road transport equipment We are an established and well respected business with over 40 years experience in the industry.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Production Workers who are motivated, hard working and reliable to join our Fibreglass Department or the Repairs Division depending on relevant experience. Previous experience working in a Fibreglass production environment or in Fibreglass truck body repairs would be highly regarded.
Your experience may be from similar environments including caravan repair and manufacture, cabinet making, the building industry such as painting, plastering, building timber truss frames and concreting, boat/water craft manufacture or repairs, truck or trailer panel manufacturing repairs/replacement. Suitable training will be provided to applicants who have some work experience from the fields listed.
Duties would include, but not limited to;
- Rolling of Fibreglass Resin to achieve a uniform coating without flaws or air bubbles
- Assisting with set up, taping and waxing
- Mould Maintenance
- Removing damaged components and preparing for new parts
- General sanding, laminating and gelcoat repairs
- Fitting of new parts and equipment
- Use of power and hand tools, drills, grinders etc
- Minor spray painting, finishing and detailing
The following attributes are a must:-
- Previous experience working with a variety of power and hand tools, drills, grinders etc
- Be reliable
- Be punctual
- Have enthusiasm and the willingness to learn and take instructions
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility or workshop environment
- A strong work ethic, with an eye for detail
- Self motivation and initiative
- Must be physically fit and have a positive can-do attitude
- Be able to work as part of a small team
Hours are Monday to Thursday, 7am – 5pm (38hrs per week). Overtime is available on Friday's.
