Volvo Group Australia is currently seeking an organised and self-motivated Production Coordinator to join our Group Trucks Operations (GTO) FE team. As Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development of the Production team and Production processes to ensure the overall organisation production, quality and safety objectives are achieved. This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis and will be based at our Industrial Avenue Facility.

About the role:
- Ensure the build rate is achieved according to applicable work standards, and report deviations to the Production Manager
- Lead, motivate, encourage and manage performance of the production team leaders and team members
- Actively be involved in reporting and delivery of KPIs and provide feedback to all team members
- Conduct a gap analysis of KPI current state and target state, and report to key stakeholders
- Monitor and ensure cost efficiency during the production process
- Foresee and overcome any obstacles or issues interrupting assembly in your area
- Ensure effective, open communication practices to foster a cross functional, collaborative team environment with all Wacol Plant Departments
- Ensure that the operation is conducted in a safe and conscious way at all times, and in accordance with Volvo’s Values
About you:
- Significant manufacturing industry experience in a leadership role
- Strong Leadership/management skills including communication and the ability to organise and engage team members
- Significant experience working in a skills-based matrix environment
- Solid knowledge of Volvo Production Systems and products
- An understanding of logistics systems and processes
- Demonstrate health, safety and environment focus
- Requisite experience in problem solving tools e.g. 5 Whys
- Sound Knowledge of AS-400
- Sound MS Office experience and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent.
