Position Description
Experienced Front End Loader Operator / Yard Hand
This position requires you to be part of a team, undertaking the screening of soil, sand surplus materials, loading trucks, serving of customers and ad hoc duties. This position is located in Pakenham.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Screening of materials
2. Customer service
3. Quality control
4. Safety
5. Loading / Unloading trucks
6. Maintain all equipment in working order, report faulty equipment
7. Maintain stock levels relevant to position / area
8. Applicant must pass a Pre-employment medical incl. Drug and Alcohol Testing
9. Construction white card (essential)
10. A willingness to take on consistent labouring and cleaning duties around the yard.
11. A basic mechanical aptitude (highly desirable)
12. Flexible working attitude to deal with reactive requests (deliveries etc.);
13. The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team;
14. A willingness to go above and beyond the basic requirements of your role.
Requirements
1. Loader licence
2. HR licence
3. Experience in plant and equipment operation
4. Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with the mixing and blending of soil, sands & gravels required but not essential
5. Strong customer service ethic
6. Ability to work as part of a team
7. Practical approach to mechanical problem solving
8. Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
9. A Fork Lift (LF) ticket (essential)
