We’re looking for a results focused, high performing Procurement Project Specialist to join our Supply Chain team and continue our success in the future of vehicle rental.

What is this role all about?

Reporting to the APAC Regional Procurement Manager based in our Melbourne office, you’ll play a critical part in delivering results on key operational procurement projects and strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and deliver procurement projects with a focus on sustainable results and aligned with strategy
  • Manage assigned procurement categories (Medium-High Risk) with a Total Cost of Ownership approach
  • Conduct appropriate analysis and provide project plans for assigned supply categories and projects
  • Professionally engage current and potential suppliers to achieve value based outcomes for all projects
  • Conduct end-to-end market engagements for assigned categories in accordance with approved strategy
  • Together with Operational stakeholders, monitor contract performance and conduct regular supplier reviews
  • Resolve transactional purchase issues for assigned categories together with Accounts Payable
  • Review and update Master Data for suppliers within assigned categories

What do we need from you?

  • Tertiary qualifications in business is desirable, proven industry experience is also valued
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional Procurement environment, managing categories in excess of $1m per annum
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a Total Cost of Ownership mindset
  • Professional presentation, analytical and communication skills to all levels of an organisation
  • Solutions focused and out of the box thinking approach to business problems
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a bonus
