Due to the growth of Glass Outlet, we are excited to advertise for the newly created Warehouse/Inventory Officer position.

Glass Outlet is a leading importer and trade only wholesale supplier of fencing, balustrade, aluminium, stainless steel and showerscreen products. Our depot is located at Kilburn. Other depots are in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Victoria.

Glass Outlet is committed to providing the highest quality products and customer service levels to our trade clients by ensuring the supply of industry leading/innovative products that are despatched in an efficient and accurate manner.

Due to continued growth, a hands on role is now available for a warehouse person with a demonstrated ability in stock control. You will side by side with the Warehouse Manager and existing warehouse staff in order to continue to achieve outstanding operational results.

Duties will include:

  • Receipt, unloading, checking, and storing of inwards goods – both local deliveries and imported container stock
  • Ensure that for inwards goods any discrepancies are followed up promptly
  • For goods outwards, checking to ensure accuracy of picked goods by warehouse staff prior to dispatch
  • Advising on quality issues identified and isolation of stock matters pending resolution
  • Picking, packing & dispatching of orders
  • Rolling stocktakes with a view to ensuring stock integrity and early identification of any deficiencies in picking/systems
  • Suggesting operational changes to improve accuracy of order picking and dispatch
  • Implementing and complying with company policy and procedures
  • General warehouse tasks

You will receive assistance to complete tasks as required from warehouse staff.

To be successful in the role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Experience in a warehouse role with sound knowledge of the workings of a goods in/goods out inventory focused distribution business
  • Ability to problem solve and identify stock discrepancy causes plus ability to implement ongoing improvements in association with management
  • Strong time management skills to enable execution of tasks
  • Sound numerical and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent communication skills having regard to warehouse/office staff and customers
  • Possess a current forklift license
  • Be physically fit as the role is hands on working side by side with team members

You will be a detail oriented individual with a high regard for accuracy and procedural compliance, taking pride in the importance of your role within the business.

Work hours are 5 days a week, Monday to Friday with hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm.
