Your new company
One of Australia's leading health funds has a newly created position available for a dynamic and customer focused individual who has a passion for making a difference in patient wellbeing while driving commercial outcomes.
Your new role
As the Commercial Manager you will be reporting to the GM Health Management and be tasked with building relationships with the fund's healthcare, hospital and treatment providers, managing all aspects of the commercial arrangements with a focus on improving the quality and value of service delivered to the fund's members. On top of being a leadership figure within the team, key duties of this role will include:
- Developing and implementing the provider purchasing strategy
- Managing the provider contracts and commercial arrangements
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with the providers
- Managing key internal and external stakeholders, in a business partnership fashion
- Being an escalation point for operational contract disputes
What you'll need to succeed
This role will suit someone who has a strong customer centric mindset, a passion for people and who loves to win over clients and deliver sound commercial outcomes that benefits the customers, clients and the company as a whole. Key requirements for this role include:
- Excellent relationships building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with difficult stakeholder and resolve disputes in a win-win manner
- Strong commercial acumen and contract or vendor management background
- A background dealing in commercial arrangements within the hospital, medical, healthcare or health insurance industries is essential
- History of working in greenfield roles and being a proven self starter
- Strong analytics skills and ability to conceptualize the big picture and relate that to stakeholders

You will receive a salary up to $155,000 package + Bonus + Benefits pending experience.
