Your new role
Your new role will involve you working as a Assistant Factory Manager leading the production and packing team during the night shift. You will have the ability to make decisions autonomously during your shift as you will have complete control of the Factory during this time. You will ensure company quality standards are adhered to and corrective action is taken when needed. There will be a requirement to train in both day and night shift to fully understand the business and what happens across the different departments within the factory.  The candidate will then need to be flexible to cover day shift if required to support the Factory Manager. This is to ensure the Assistant Factory Manager has broad exposure to the business and opportunities to meet key stakeholders and attend important meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will be willing to go the extra mile, coupled with the following;

  • Specialized food manufacturing/food hygiene training (HACCP) is desired but not essential.
  • Food safety instructor qualification is highly desirable.
  • Training or relevant work experience in Good manufacturing practice (GMP).
  • At least five years experience in the food manufacturing industry including at least four years experience in a Management capacity or a like industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good numerical ability.
  • Reading and listening skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated leaderships of medium to large teams.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
    variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists.
  • Good physical conditions to work in a cold and noisy environment,
    walking up and down, standing, sitting. push, pull, lift, and handle
    weight, taste and smell.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
