About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking General Hand/Forklift Operators with a current drivers licence. This position is Monday - Friday, up to 12 hours on busy load days, at $30.00 per hour. Candidates must have extensive experience loading trucks with ugly freight and 4+ years experience in the transport and logistics industry.
Responsibilities
Participating in the training, development and implementation of specific Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) risk management strategies, procedures and policies as appropriate;
Taking reasonable care for the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions;
Cooperating with any directions and procedures required to ensure their own health, safety and wellbeing as well as the health, safety and wellbeing of others; and
Reporting all injuries, hazards, illness or ‘near misses’ to your manager/supervisor and/or HSEQ Manager.
Providing customers services with quality, timeliness and diligence and behave in a manner that meets the expectations of the Jolly Business.
Follow the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures as documented and trained.
Reporting any Customer related issues and instigating appropriate Corrective action Procedures.
Competencies
Basic skills in reading, writing and maths
Read and understand operational information
Legibly write and record operational information
Current Forklift licence
General freight loading experience - essential
Well presented and customer focused
Good verbal communication and written skills
Able to complete paperwork accurately
Can demonstrate strong safety awareness and focus
Load restraint experience - essential
Ability to work at a fast pace
