The Company
Established in 1972 the Mitolo Group is a successful and dynamic South Australian family owned business supplying potatoes and onions for sale in major Australian supermarket chains and produce markets nationally.
Having undergone a significant and sustainable expansion of its business through recent acquisitions, the Mitolo Group offers the perfect opportunity for a highly motivated Warehouse Manager to join its rapidly growing and dedicated production team in Virginia.
The role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager the role of Warehouse Manager comes with a high degree of responsibility and accountability. You will lead, manage and improve the movement of finished packed goods from production, to our cool room through to dispatch. You will have a key focus on stock movement and the timely and accurate dispatch of freight both interstate and intrastate. You will effectively coach staff and liaise with transport providers to provide exceptional customer service, and will be strongly committed to WHS policies and procedures.
Your duties will include:
- Motivating the warehouse team to achieve high standards and performance
- Management of cool room and finish packed goods storage
- Liaise with major transport companies to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to improve the efficiencies of warehouse process
- Implement processes to ensure that quality audits are conducted prior to goods being dispatched
- Liaise with production management teams on customer orders and stock allocations
- Liaise with key departments on system and process enhancements relevant to warehousing such as ERP (Navision)
- Ensure stocktakes are conducted accurately and on time
You will need the following to succeed:
- Customer service business focus
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar position with an ability to perform in a high-pressure warehouse environment.
- The ability to mentor, coach and closely manage a dedicated warehouse team
- Proven planning and scheduling skills
- A strong focus on continuous improvement
- Forklift license
