Hanson is looking for a suitable person to join the production team as a Full Time Agitator Driver / Relief Batcher. This is a permanent / live in role with no FIFO options. You will be predominantly based at the Karratha concrete plant.
 
Key Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and mechanically sound.
• Operating the designated vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of the product to and from the designated site.
• Carrying out daily cleaning of the truck and mixer.
• Having a sufficient working knowledge of the product and to comply with the relevant mixing and delivery standards.
• Passing on customer concerns to Production Supervisor  
• Pushing and pulling of loads, including concrete discharge chute.
• Plant maintenance tasks (greasing, acid washing truck and cleaning).

 
As a relief batcher, your duties will include:

• Responsibility of batching and concrete production within the concrete plant site.
• Produce concrete to meet customers’ orders and service requirements.
• Ensure concrete batching conforms to AS1379, and is produced in a timely manner.
• Ensure plant and equipment is operating and available at maximum capacities.

 
In order to be successful you will have:

• A valid HR license.
• Current copy of driving history.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Minimum 12 months commercial HR truck driving experience.
• White Card

You will also:

• Be aware and alert of hazards and report any unsafe situations.
• Be able to work with a flexible roster.
• Be willing to work regular overtime including Saturdays.
• Have an approachable and friendly disposition.
• Be willing to go the extra mile for our customers and resolve issues where applicable.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Have a professional work ethic.
• Be physically able to perform all tasks associated with the position.
• Have basic computer literacy.

 
All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all Hanson premises.
