Within our production team we are, currently recruiting for an experienced Production Coordinator, who will be responsible for the day to day production activities within the Brooklyn Plant. The successful Production Coordinator will be reasonable for achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) and will Lead by example and maintain company code of conduct, take a leadership role in meetings, planning activities and support the business with the implementation of continuous improvement (Supporting our Lean journey as a leader) Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Coordinator will maintain regular reporting of KPI’s and G&O’s to ensure that business continues to run with excellence.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for daily operational KPI’s (SQDC)
  • Maintain the continuity and efficiency of supply
  • Maintain daily, weekly monthly KPI reports for their respective factory
  • Follow up production issues to ensure they are closed out in a timely manner
  • Achieves results by developing their Team Leadership structure
  • Work with the Materials and Planning Manager to ensure daily plans are achieved and customers demands are continually met
  • Develop associates skills and plans training as required
  • Take responsibility / provides direction to ensure quality requirements are being met including quality reviews and process verification to standards
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by all associates
  • Review processes as necessary, make improvements and reduce hazards and risks in the workplace, identify as necessary and take action to eliminate risks that may have a negative impact on the business
  • Creates and maintains improvement plans to eliminate waste in the workplace
  • Ensuring equipment operates at optimum efficiency … makes improvement actions and communicates as necessary to achieve goals
  • Maintains housekeeping and the cleanliness of the factory and equipment
  • Contribute to all continuous improvement process and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Participate in WHS and quality improvement meetings and ensures adherence to policy and procedure

    Health & Safety:

    Ensure all reasonably practicable steps are undertaken to provide a safe and healthy workplace through an understanding of the hazards and risks associated with the workplace (wherever that maybe). Conduct regular hazard and risk assessments of their workplace and ensure updated knowledge of relevant WHS Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
