About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity exists for a QA Officer (Day Shift) to assist the QA Coordinators ensure that the quality of all products are maintained in accordance with product specifications and legal requirements. This role enforces HACCP, GMP and process parameters to ensure safe and quality products are manufactured. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety and Quality System
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP-001), HACCP, and process parameters at all times to ensure safe and quality products are manufactured
- Adhere to and enforce Imported Pig Meat requirements as per Imported Pig Meat Manual
- Conduct internal, glass and brittle plastic and GMP audits, bucket walks to ensure quality and food safety management system are effective
- Take part in root cause analysis as part of investigation of external and internal feedback/ complaints.
- HACCP team member – audit, and verifications as per schedule or as required.
General QA
- Carry out process and product audits at launch and/ or when required
- Carry out daily audits within the manufacturing area to ensure that processes and product manufacture is in accordance with the documented HACCP plans and process control procedures and monitor general factory housekeeping
- Assess and analyse products identified as possible non-conformances and implement Non-conforming Product procedure as required.
- Verification of CCPs
- Assist with investigate using RCA and respond to internal and external feedback/ complaints, implement preventative and correct actions when required
- Review and sign off of daily in-process check paperwork
- Prepare and conduct training for operators in relation to GMP, food safety and CCPs (Induction & Re-fresher) when required
- Identify training needs, schedule training and maintain training records Follow up and verify non-conformance and corrective / preventative action processes and report to QA Coordinator
- Raise and issue Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests
- Coordinate and carry out retention sample assessment
Criteria
- Degree qualified with relevant food technology experience is not mandatory but is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
- Awareness of legislative requirements and industry developments
- A detail-oriented individual, sensitive to numbers who is able to effectively contribute to a team environment
