Job Information:Foundry workers to assist tradespeople and semi-skilled workers to cast metal into shapes that are used as parts for machinery, motor vehicles, railway engines, stove parts and wheels.
It is a hot, dusty and noisy conditions, although workshops are generally spacious, ventilated and well lit. Their work can involve significant physical exertion. They usually spend most of their day standing and often need to bend, crouch or climbing.
Location: Silverwater
Work Days: Monday to Friday
Work Times: 6AM - 2PM
What you will be doing:
You must be aware of safety regulations and need to wear protective equipment to minimise heat and noise levels.
To be successful with in this role you must possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience working within a heavy industrial environment
- Working on the hotline
- Grinding
- Hammers
- Pneumatic drills
- Sorting product by part numbers
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working with molten metal would be highly desirable
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Able to follow instruction
- Good communication
- Excellent WHS awareness
- Strength and fitness
- Fit, strong, no back injuries
