Working as part of a small team, this role primarily undertakes daily Quality Control tasks including the monitoring of products and processes to ensure compliance to business and regulatory requirements.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

• Performing bath solution lab test (wet chemistry)
• Perform in-process inspections and instrumental measurements at various stages of production
• Providing technical assistance to the Quality & other department leaders
• Control of non-conforming product - hold, rework, reassess and reject
• Conducting NCR investigations and capturing data
• Assist in maintaining third party accreditation
• Inspect, test and measure quality requirements on project work
• Be an advocate for Quality and an agent for continuous improvement in the organisation

The successful candidate must have:

• At least a basic understanding of chemistry (minimum completed HSC / TAFE Chemistry)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be 'Hands On'
• A mechanical aptitude and strong analytical skills
• A good work ethic and honesty
• Be a team player and have ability to work as part of a team
• Intermediate computer skills, MS Office and excel
• Recent graduates need not be deterred from applying

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Prefer 1-2 years Industry work experience in QC, Lab, Technical or science related
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in QC checks in a production environment
• Understanding of continuous improvement processes
• Excellent organisational skills
• Fork lift licence desirable
