ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an energetic and organised individual with excellent knowledge of transport logistics to fill a critical new role - Demolition Logistics Coordinator. With a packed workbook of blue chip clients and challenging demolition work programmes, efficient management of complex transport logistics is central to delivering our projects on time and on budget. The busy role involves coordinating transport services for the removal and disposal of demolition and construction materials from an array of project sites across metropolitan Melbourne.

To succeed in this position you will display the following qualities and attributes:

•    Previous experience in a similar logistical operations role.
•    A high level of interpersonal skills, including strong problem solving abilities. 
•    Effective time management and capable of making informed decisions in a fast paced environment.  
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
•    Strong customer service focus and the ability to build strong relationships. 
•    Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
•    A high degree of computer literacy.
•    An ability to work a rotating roster on Saturdays.

Key responsibilities will include:

•    Scheduling and supervision of daily transport logistics, including company operated and subcontracted vehicles.
•    Leading and managing a team of company and subcontracted truck drivers.
•    Monitoring the fleet of company trucks and ensuring service and maintenance requirements are being met by internal and external resources.
•    Reviewing, identifying and introducing team and operational efficiencies. 
•    Administration and reporting, including approving and reconciling accounts and producing regular and/or ad-hoc management reports.
•    Ensuring all COR, OHS, Quality and Environmental management plans and all relevant compliance requirements are adhered to.
