Purpose of role:

Our focus is to promote, support and encourage a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility. We collectively work to minimise risk, eliminate and control hazards for our people, contractors, suppliers and all stakeholders towards our goal of ‘Zero Harm’.

This position is part of the HSE and  team across Australia and provides regional  advice and coaching for HSE Safety Systems, safety reporting and coordinating FB HSE programs, by:

  • Executing strategies for improving safety performance – Implement HSE policies, plans, programs, and systems to meet organisational objectives on site. With emphasis on implementation of value add HSE programs in relation to HSE Management, and Safety improvement programs. 
  • Coordinates implementation of Zero Harm Strategies and safety reporting.  
  • Provides Leadership for Line Managers in their ownership of HSE and coaches and mentors the Line in developing HSE competencies.
  • Works with Regional HSE Manager and other regional safety resources to deliver consistent, practical and effective HSE results across all sites in their region.
  • Manage site HSE systems and processes. This includes working with external parties, maintaining self-insurance and providing local training
  • Monitor, drive performance and adherence to the HSE improvement plans 
  • Provide advice and assist in the management of workers compensation and rehabilitation of injured workers
  • Participate and deliver relevant pillars of FB Manufacturing Excellence Program (data, reports, trends and injury prevention measures.

What will help you succeed:

  • Certificate IV or above in related discipline in Safety
  • Accredited return to work coordinator
  • HSE technical and legislative requirements
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Working knowledge of Employment legislation
  • Working knowledge of Australian Standards, SWA Codes of practice
  • ICAM investigator
  • Working Knowledge & Understanding of AS4801 and ISO 14001
