Retail Ready Operations Australia (RROA), is the first Coles' owned retail ready meat facility. Based at Erskine Park, on the western edge of Sydney, our new site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. About the position

This role will be accountable for the control of all production activities, personnel and processes in the facility. This will include the management of day-to-day production and operations on a specific line, including training, health and safety, product efficiency, people management and continuous improvement.  As part of this role you will:

• Be willing to work flexible rosters, including afternoon and weekend shifts
• Provide coaching and training to ensure team member capability
• Collaborate with team members and team leaders to deliver KPIs, including OEE, DIFOT, LTI/MTI and Quality
• Lead and drive a culture of continuous improvement
• Ensure effective implementation and compliance with the Quality Management Systems through appropriate communication training and delegation of accountability
• Ensure the manufacture of products are to the required food safety and quality requirements as per HACCP plans
• Plan and co-ordinate the day to day work activities of the production team under your supervision
• Work in conjunction with other functional areas to achieve results
• Ensure that production schedules are met
• Commitment to zero harm behaviors and proactively take actions in regards to work place safety
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times and Promote a safe working culture

Essential

• Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in a technical discipline i.e. Engineering/ Food Science
• Solid technical and/or process knowledge
• Proven experience in trouble shooting and fault finding in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Planning and scheduling experience 
• Confident interpersonal communication, organisation and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment
• Able to identify and anticipate trends in data / information and able to act accordingly
• Ability to anticipate outcomes regarding people, process and plant operation (upstream/downstream)
• Take into account the objectives, needs or priorities of other parts of the business
• Analytical ability and problem solving (root cause analysis, process improvements & corrective actions)
• Ability to identify and set own team goals with relevant metrics which go beyond normal expectations
• Above average literacy and numeracy skills
• High learning agility and ability to work cross-functionally

 Desirable

• Frontline management training
• Cert III or IV in food processing
• Previous experience in an FMCG/Short Shelf life production environment
• Knowledge and implementation of Lean Manufacturing/CI principles
