The Role
We are currently seeking and experienced Warehouse Supervisor located in our Welshpool factory.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a small warehouse team, consolidation and transportation of all goods. This role includes the responsibility to drive Warehouse optimisation and ensure on time packaging and shipment of finished products as well as assisting in negotiating the best transport rates for the company.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Organise driver run sheet and delivery schedule
- Organise all activities and assign jobs accordingly for warehouse staff
- Manage stock control: the self assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods, shipment loading and transferring, document recording and data entry into system
- Planning, organising and controlling of warehouse over all operations
- Ongoing planning of all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set targets
- Plans to develop staff of the warehouse by on the job training
- Follow up and control of daily absence and over time
- Implement cost reduction principle in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse
- Advise production of stock shortages on manufactured items via the stock management systems
Transfers:
- Maintain outstanding Requisition lists
- Ensure products that are available have been packed for transfer
- Notify receiving branch of any revised lead times
- Liaise with receiving branch for “must ride” products on transfer items for next truck
- Ensure all interstate transport is booked 2 days prior to dispatch
- Ensure all transfer paperwork is completed & sent to receiving branch prior to transfer arrival at branch
We are looking for someone with a can do attitude who has at least 2 years experience in a stores / warehouse supervisory role.
