UPS offers work at home opportunity for an experienced Broker.

If you are a night owl this this role is for you.   You will need to work anytime from 12 am to 8 am, five days per a week.

The UPS Classifier role covers a wide range of services and legislative requirements for both Internal and External Customers.

Position responsibilities:

  • Assessment of Import Shipments in express, air and Sea freight shipments.
  • Detailed Classification to determine correct Tariff (HTS ),
  • Complex Valuation of import shipments,
  • Audit parts missing from the database and update as required,
  • Liaise with customer's to ensure prompt generation of technical based enquiries,
  • Undertake audit process on completed customs entries,
  • Create and amend customs entry refunds/PWA's (Post Warrant Amendments).
  • Assist Brokerage Team leaders and Managment team to meet the departments KPIs and Service agreements to the UPS Customer.
  • Provide technical advice to both Internal and External Customers in relation to import duty and tax rates and requirements of imported goods for both AU Customs and Quarantine agencys.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Having completed or are currently attending TAFE in the Diploma of Customs    Brokerage
-  Ability to set priorities
-  Understanding of EDI Cargowise Software (optional)
-  Excellent communication skills both written and oral
-  Eye for detail and accuracy
-  Strong time management skills
