About the Role:
We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our fast-expanding and growing business, on a full-time basis. The purpose of the role is to safely pick and put away vehicle parts in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customers receive quality parts in line with promised delivery schedules.
Key Duties:
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
- Efficiently stack and store parts in the appropriate areas
- Identify parts to be delivered and inspect for undocumented damage
- Pull and prepare parts for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of part is loaded and shipped
- Work with Driver team to ensure parts are loaded on trucks safely, securely and in a manner to ensure there are no quality risks or damage
- Assist with regular and spot stock takes as required
- Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times
- Perform all other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the business
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in warehousing
- LF License - essential
- LO license - essential
- MR or higher - highly regarded but not essential
- Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panels
- Problem solving skills
- Able to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently
