About the role
CHC Helicopter is currently seeking a bright, enthusiastic team member to join our Karratha operation on a on a Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Base Manager, the Ramp Assistant will ensure the efficient, secure and cost effective operation of all ramp related duties at the base.
Key responsibilities:
- Adhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policies
- Preparation of aircraft cabin prior to flight and after flights
- Baggage and freight handling/loading of aircraft
- Provide assistance to Operations with passenger life vests, briefings, passenger escorting/loading
- Provide assistance to engineers on aircraft departures and arrivals
- Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards within the Base hangar
- Carry out forklift duties as required (forklift licence required)
- Refuelling of aircraft - including rotors running refuelling
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
- An ability to obtain and hold an ASIC card
- A current Forklift Licence
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously and under supervision
- The ability to work in a small team
- Possess a positive and can-do attitude approach
- Aviation related operational experience or experience in a similar role will be viewed favorably.
