You will be a CASUAL employee for three calendar months at $36.25 per hour.
After three calendar months you might become a PERMANENT FULL TIME employee subject to satisfactory work progress.
After three months we envisage offering $29.00 per hour for a full time permanent employee PLUS super+holidays+sick pay, etc.
Monday to Friday ONLY
Occasional overtime
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful applicant will be responsible for multi drop deliveries throughout the Sydney metropolitan area which includes the inner city.
NB Within the inner city 95% of deliveries are into docks.
We deliver toilet paper, towels and soap.
The majority of cartons are around 15kg to 17kg in weight.
The applicant needs to be flexible and able to do a variety of different tasks
~You will be responsible for creating the driver's manifest.
~You will be responsible for loading trucks in readiness for next day's deliveries.
~you will be responsible for warehousing and stock control and helping within the warehouse and general duties
~high attention to detail
~Carrying out pre-start checks on vehicles and keep vehicles clean and tidy
QUALIFICATIONS:
~Current NSW MR Truck Licence essential - with manual gear shift
~Current FORKLIFT licence LF essential
~Current RMS driver's history printout will be required at the interview
~Ability to load and unload manually
~Fit, healthy, punctual and reliable
~Must have good written and verbal skills
~Minimum 1 year RECENT experience in a similar role
~Must be able to use a road map/street directory—do not apply if you cannot use a road map
~Store/warehouse experience-able to check inventory for damage, wear and tear
~excellent presentation and client communication skills
~good level of physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre items up to 25kg
~excellent paperwork skills including Proof Of Delivery
~follow WHS procedures
~flexibility of working hours when required
~sound knowledge of Sydney metropolitan area
~strong work ethic, reliable and efficient
~driver to be dressed neatly and tidily
