Langdon Coffee Merchants is currently located at Derrimut, transitioning to state of the art facilities in South Melbourne first quarter of 2019.

About the role

• To undertake all Quality Assurance activities and provide sales and marketing support to the Langdon Coffee Merchants team
• To take ownership and drive systems and processes associated with all Quality Assurance activities
• Preparation of samples; grading, screening
• Manage sample roasting
• Cupping / Curating
• Manage all other practical tasks and systems in the lab
• Liaising with suppliers, producer/exporter relations
• Quality analysis reporting and administration
• Assist with key accounts
• Follow up customer enquiries
• Providing sales support to the Coffee Traders
• Draw stock lot samples from warehouses
• Preparation and dispatch of samples to clients
• Develop/manage sample tracking systems
• Manage traceability sheets, marketing material and coffee/producer info on all coffees
• Manage quality control and sample management systems in cropster, excel etc

About you

• Ideally you have a Q Grader certificate with SCAA roasting, grading, cupping protocol appreciation and experience
• Ideally demonstrated work experience in the coffee industry with industry networks
• Sound product and industry knowledge
• High attention to detail
• Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Proactive, takes initiative and a problem solver.
